Our take

Everyone is handing sales to AI agents. We think that's a mistake.

Handing prospecting to AI agents means losing control of what is said in your name. Buyers can tell when nobody is behind a message. Sales runs on trust, and you can't delegate trust to a bot.

Selling on your own? It's free. Teams pay a flat price, never per seat.

Why houq

Organizing a sales pipeline used to be my job. I sold CRM software, then built the sales process at a startup.

Then I launched my own product. Three months later, my prospects lived in a Google Sheet and my follow-ups in my head.

The irony: I was making the exact mistake I'd spent years helping others avoid. And I slid into it without even noticing.

It wasn't a skills problem. When you're also the developer and the support team, prospecting quietly slips. houq is the tool I wish I'd had.

Questions

What is houq?

houq is a B2B sales prospecting tool that saves founders and small sales teams hours every week, without taking the human out of selling.

It brings together three things that usually live in separate tools: a contact book with the full history of every relationship, cadences that mix emails, calls, LinkedIn, SMS and letters and adapt to what each prospect actually does, and a daily task list prepared for you every morning.

Everything that can be automated is: sending emails from your own inbox at a human pace, timing your follow-ups, bringing replies into the timeline, stopping a cadence when someone answers. What needs judgment stays with you: the call, the personal sentence in an email, the decision on what to do next.

houq is built for the moment your sales machine doesn't exist yet: founders who sell between everything else, and the first sales hires who join them. People who need a routine that holds up during busy weeks.

Why not let an AI agent do my prospecting?

Because sales runs on trust, and buyers can tell when nobody is behind a message.

AI sales agents promise to find prospects, write to them and follow up on their own, around the clock. In practice, that often means thousands of generic messages, burned sending domains and replies that nobody handles in time. Prospects notice, and the relationship starts on the wrong foot.

houq takes the opposite approach. AI handles what slows you down: drafting emails, suggesting replies, preparing your calls. houq itself prepares your day and remembers every follow-up. You keep what builds trust: the sentence that shows you did your homework, the phone call, the judgment on what to do next.

You go faster without ever losing control of what is said in your name.

Is houq a CRM?

houq has a lightweight CRM at its core, but it is built for daily prospecting rather than pipeline management.

Every contact has a full timeline: emails sent and received, from houq or straight from your inbox, clicks, calls and their outcome, notes, the cadence they are in and what comes next. You never have to rebuild the picture before reaching out.

What you won't find: deal stages, amounts or revenue forecasts. houq focuses on the work that happens before and around the first meetings, while your sales process is still taking shape.

Your data can be exported at any time, so you can move to a traditional CRM the day your team needs one.

Does AI write my emails?

It can draft them for you, and you always see them before anything goes out.

A cadence email starts from a template, with each contact's details filled in. It can leave a field to complete for the one sentence only you can write: why this person, and why today. AI can draft that sentence, or the whole email, for you to check.

Every email with a field to complete or text written by AI waits for you in Today, and you validate it one by one. You can reword it, add a detail you just learned, or cancel it. An email you wrote entirely yourself can go out on its own, if you choose so for that step of the cadence.

The result: personal emails at a pace you can actually keep, instead of generic messages that hurt your reply rate.

Do emails come from my own address?

Yes. houq sends every email from your own Gmail or Outlook account, through their official APIs.

No shared sending servers and no throwaway domains: your emails leave from your real address, show up in your Sent folder and build your own sender reputation.

You choose a sending window, a daily limit and a delay between two emails, and houq spaces them out at random, so your outreach reads like a person writing, not a bulk sender. When you connect, houq also checks your domain's SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup to help your emails reach the inbox.

When a prospect replies, houq stops their cadence. When an address doesn't exist, houq marks it invalid and never writes to it again.

Does houq automate LinkedIn?

No. houq prepares your LinkedIn actions, and you send them yourself.

LinkedIn steps are part of your cadences like any other channel: an invitation or a message, with a link to the profile and the text ready to go. They show up in Today at the right moment.

You adjust and send them from your own account in a few seconds, then say whether it went out in one click. Since no bot ever drives your account, there is no risk of restriction.

If the prospect replies on LinkedIn, houq asks you to check it, and the cadence adapts accordingly.

How is houq different from other prospecting tools?

Most prospecting tools focus on sending emails at scale. houq covers the whole routine of a founder or a small team: emails, calls, LinkedIn and follow-ups, in one place.

Human actions are part of the plan, not an afterthought. Calls, LinkedIn messages, texts and letters sit in the same cadences as your emails, each one lands in Today with its context, and the outcome you log decides what happens next.

Your contact history is built in, so you don't need a separate CRM to know who said what, and when. Emails go out from your own inbox at a human pace, not from a shared sending infrastructure.

And the price is flat, never billed per seat.

How do opt-outs work?

Every email offers a simple way to say no, and houq checks opt-outs before every send, with no exception.

Instead of an unsubscribe link that makes an email look automated, houq adds a sentence you write once, such as "Just tell me if this isn't relevant, and I won't write again." It's on by default in every email, you place it wherever you like, and it can carry an unsubscribe link if you want one.

When a prospect asks you to stop, you record the opt-out in one click from their reply. From then on, no cadence, template or setting can send to that address again.

Click tracking is optional and off by default.

Can I connect my own AI agent?

Yes. houq has an MCP server, so an agent like Claude can work with your contacts and cadences, within firm limits.

An agent can read your contacts and their timelines, add contacts, notes and tags, or enroll someone in a cadence. houq becomes the memory of your prospecting, for you and for your tools.

Some things stay out of its reach, whatever the setup: sending an email, validating an email waiting in Today, and deleting anything. Those stay with you.

How much does houq cost?

Three flat prices: free for one user, €9 per month for up to five users, €39 for up to fifteen.

Each plan also sets how many cadences can run at once: 1, 20 or 100. There is no per-seat billing: adding a co-founder or your first sales hire does not change the price of your plan.
